Why?  Well, for pocketholes drilled with routers, we have our modified (patented) Pan Head.  It has a deeper head height for increased bit engagement, and a slight build-up under the head for extra strength.

If you prefer to make your pocketholes with a drill, we like the Round Washer Head.  The built-in washer under the head keeps the screw from crushing through the bottom of the hole, which will give you a very tight joint.
